Trump Hosts Dinner for Tech CEOs (No Elon Musk)

Top US tech leaders meet Trump at White House dinner to discuss AI.
At the White House, Donald Trump hosted Apple’s Tim Cook, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and over a dozen other tech executives for a dinner focused on AI development. Elon Musk did not attend, though a representative was present.

OpenAI is working with the White House on a $500 billion Stargate project for AI infrastructure, with Oracle and SoftBank also involved.
The US Defense Department has given OpenAI a $200 million contract for military and national security AI tools.

OpenAI takes aim at LinkedIn

OpenAI plans to launch an AI-powered job platform to rival LinkedIn.
OpenAI announced it is building a job-matching platform using artificial intelligence, expected to launch in mid-2026.
Fidji Simo, head of OpenAI apps, said the platform will match company needs with candidate skills
Small businesses and local governments will get a direct path to AI talent
OpenAI will also launch AI literacy certificates through its academy starting in late 2025
This move shows OpenAI is pushing into new markets, putting it in direct competition with LinkedIn, which is owned by Microsoft, a major OpenAI backer.
