DAILY UPDATE

OpenAI faces a massive $12 billion loss but keeps pushing forward with new tools like its video app Sora.
Despite heavy losses, OpenAI continues to expand its lineup of apps. Its latest creation, Sora, a video-making app, has gained millions of downloads on iOS but comes with huge daily costs reaching $15 million per day.
Sora launched about a month ago and quickly hit 4 million downloads by October 31.
The app creates millions of short AI videos daily, each costing around $1.30 to generate.
Experts estimate OpenAI spends over $5 billion a year to keep Sora running.
OpenAI is betting big to secure the future of AI video. While the costs are enormous now, experts expect processing prices to drop sharply in coming years. Meanwhile, Sora helps OpenAI gather valuable video-text data that could train the next generation of AI models.
