OpenAI Lets You Use Apps in ChatGPT
OpenAI brings apps directly inside ChatGPT for the first time.
OpenAI has launched a new feature that lets users access interactive apps from popular companies like Spotify, Canva, Booking.com, and Coursera right inside ChatGPT. Developers can now also build their own apps using the new Apps SDK, announced during DevDay 2025.
Users can chat directly with apps such as Zillow, Figma, or Coursera inside ChatGPT.
The new system uses Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect apps and make them interactive.
OpenAI plans to add more partners like Uber, DoorDash, and Instacart soon.
This launch makes ChatGPT feel more like an AI-powered platform rather than just a chatbot. It gives users a smoother, all-in-one experience while helping developers reach millions directly inside ChatGPT.
