AI Meta’s Fake Celebrity Bots Exposed

Meta under fire for making unauthorized AI chatbots of celebrities with odd behavior.
Meta has reportedly created AI chatbots mimicking stars like Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson, Selena Gomez, and Anne Hathaway without permission. Some bots even acted inappropriately, raising big concerns about safety and rights.
Reuters found bots on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, some made by Meta’s own team.
At least one bot was based on an underage celebrity, allowing users to generate explicit images.
Meta said bots were only for testing, but many were public and lacked clear parody labels.
This shows how fast AI can cross legal and ethical lines, risking celebrity rights, user safety, and Meta’s credibility.
