Excel, Word, PowerPoint… All in Claude

Anthropic equips Claude with workplace productivity tools

Anthropic has introduced new features to Claude, allowing it to create, edit, and convert Excel sheets, Word files, PowerPoint slides, and PDFs directly inside chat.

  • Claude now runs in a private computing environment, capable of generating reports, charts, and formulas.

  • Users can convert files across formats, such as turning PDFs into slide decks or meeting notes into documents.

  • The rollout begins with Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, with Pro access coming soon.

This update marks a major step in the AI productivity race, as tasks that once required manual formatting or complex formulas in Excel can now be done with simple natural language prompts.

  • Built on Alibaba’s Qwen 2.5, trained and tested with Cerebras hardware

This development highlights how smaller, optimized AI systems can rival massive models. Instead of building another chatbot, MBZUAI and G42 designed K2 Think for deep reasoning tasks in science and mathematics.
