Claude Gets a Voice

Anthropic’s Claude adds voice mode for natural conversations

Anthropic has announced a new Voice mode for its Claude mobile apps, letting users talk naturally with the AI assistant. The feature, in beta, will roll out in the coming weeks for English-speaking users.

• Claude’s Voice mode runs on the Sonnet 4 model and offers five voice personalities.

• Users can switch between talking and typing, with real-time transcriptions.

• Integration with Google Workspace is included for paid users, while free users get 20-30 voice messages per month.

All major AI labs now have voice features, so the competition is shifting to how well they work. Claude’s Voice mode is a big step up from older AI like Siri, showing how far voice AI has come in natural conversations and smart integrations.
