Alibaba Drops New AI Coder!

Alibaba Unveils Its Most Advanced Open-Source AI Coding Model: Qwen3-Coder
Alibaba has introduced Qwen3-Coder, a powerful new open-source AI model designed to make software development easier. It's the most advanced coding tool the company has launched so far, aimed at handling complex programming tasks with minimal human help.
Qwen3-Coder focuses on automating specialized software development tasks, including code generation and managing complex workflows.
It performs especially well in agent-based programming, where AI systems solve problems on their own.
Alibaba claims that Qwen3-Coder outperforms several Chinese rivals and can even compete with top U.S. models like GPT-4 and Anthropic's Claude in some areas.
This launch shows Alibaba’s serious push to stay competitive in the global AI race. By making Qwen3-Coder open-source, the company is also promoting wider access to advanced AI tools for developers around the world.

AMD Brings AI Art Offline

AMD Unveils First Offline Image AI with Stable Diffusion 3.0 Medium for Laptops
AMD has launched the first offline image generation AI based on Stable Diffusion 3.0 Medium, made to run directly on XDNA 2 NPUs in Ryzen AI laptops. This model creates high-quality images without needing the internet or cloud services and was developed in partnership with Stability AI.
The model runs locally on devices with AMD Ryzen AI 300 or Ryzen AI MAX+ chips and at least 24 GB RAM.
It produces images at 1024×1024 resolution, then upgrades them internally to 2048×2048 (4MP) using the NPU.
It's made for creators and designers, offering advanced control over how the image is made.
This is a big step toward offline, fast, and private AI image generation. Users no longer need internet access or cloud tools, making it faster and more secure for professionals who need custom and printable images.
