Anthropic's Claude Can Now Build Apps From Simple Descriptions

Anthropic has launched a new feature in its AI chatbot Claude that lets users build and share interactive AI-based apps directly from the chat, just by describing their idea.

• The feature is available in beta for all users, Free, Pro, and Max.

• Users can describe an idea, watch Claude write the code, run the app instantly, and share it with a link.

• Others can use the shared app, and the API cost is charged to the new user, not the app creator.

This feature removes the need for technical knowledge to create apps and eliminates hosting and API costs for developers. It makes building and sharing AI-powered tools easier and more accessible than ever, especially for individual creators.

Tesla Co-Founder’s Bold New Move

Redwood Materials, led by Tesla co-founder JB Straubel, has launched a new business called Redwood Energy to solve two major global challenges: EV battery waste and the massive energy demands of AI data centers.

• Used EV batteries will first be reused in large-scale energy storage systems, not recycled immediately.

• The first project is a 64 MWh solar-powered microgrid that powers a nearby AI data center with over 99% clean energy.

• Using second-life batteries makes building microgrids faster, cheaper, and greener than new power plants.

AI is driving a huge increase in electricity use, and traditional grids can’t keep up. Redwood’s solution reduces carbon emissions, lowers costs, and relieves pressure on city power networks, while giving old batteries a useful second life.
