Spotify Band Wasn’t Even Real

A Viral Spotify Band Was Actually an AI Art Hoax

A band with over 500,000 monthly Spotify listeners turned out to be an AI-generated art project, according to Rolling Stone. The music was made using the AI tool Suno, and the band’s mysterious rise sparked both curiosity and concern online.

  • The band released two albums in June with no online history, raising suspicions.

  • Deezer flagged the tracks for possible AI use, but Spotify didn’t require disclosure.

  • One “member” admitted it was made using Suno’s Persona feature, calling it part marketing and trolling.

This shows how AI-generated music can now fool large audiences and blend into real platforms without being noticed. As tools get better, people may start to ask less about who made something, and care more about whether it sounds good.

AI Predicts Human Choices

AI Model 'Centaur' Mimics Human Decisions With High Accuracy

Researchers at Helmholtz Munich have created an AI model called Centaur that can predict human decisions with impressive precision. Trained on millions of choices from psychological studies, Centaur could change how we study the human mind.

  • Centaur was trained using data from 60,000 people across 160 psychology experiments.

  • It outperformed 14 classic models in predicting behavior on 31 out of 32 tasks.

  • It can handle tasks like gambling, memory tests, and problem-solving, even ones it hasn't seen before.

Centaur shows that human thinking may be more predictable than we imagined. This could lead to powerful tools for mental health research and raise questions about future AI understanding human behavior too well. It also gives scientists a cheaper, faster way to run psychology studies, no need for big labs or long trials.
